剧情：零零恭、零零喜、零零發（周星馳 飾）、零零財是宮廷四大高手，專職保衛皇帝（張達明 飾）的安全。雖號稱四大高手之一，零零發實際上只會搞些小發明完全不會武功，某次因爲未完成皇帝交辦的捉拿江湖四大怪傑的任務，他被開除出宮。回家後，零零發開了一家婦科診所，時常會用一些小發明討得老婆（劉嘉玲 飾）心花怒放，日子也算怡然自樂。 金國以“天外飛仙”屍體爲由將皇帝從宮中騙出，並伺機殺死了緊跟皇帝的三大高手，關鍵時刻，零零發用他發明的“直升機”和“機關槍”救皇帝一命。不死心的敵手隨後派來名妓琴操（李若彤 飾）引誘零零發，零零發與老婆將計就計演起雙簧。
