Plot：The documentary on the recent history of Japanese cinema, featuring interviews with filmmakers, historians and film industry representatives. It is directed by Hubert Niogret and co-produced by Les Films du Tamarin and Filmoblic, two companies specializing in the production of documentaries and short films since the 1970s. New Territories presents the renewal of images and the new territories of today: careers of Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata, Takashi Miike, Kiyoshi Kurosawa, etc. from the late 90s to the present day.
