剧情：蜀山羣山之中的崑崙山，掌門孤月大師（張柏芝飾）與徒弟玄天宗（鄭伊健飾）相戀，事先預感邪惡的幽泉血魔會進攻崑崙，自知無力抵抗的她，爲保天宗性命而藉故趕他下山，並將崑崙祕藏武器“日月金輪”交付天宗，而自己則爲血魔所殺，崑崙山靈氣盡被吸去。 二百年後，邪惡力量再次侵犯正派，峨嵋開山祖師峨嵋真人（洪金寶飾），惟恐此戰傷及凡間，乃派大弟子丹辰子（古天樂飾）前往山下疏離凡間正在交戰的軍隊，在途中與程樂天（章子怡飾）、玄天宗相遇，卻意外發現血魔的祕密，並因而落入陷阱。在生死之際峨嵋真人率弟子前來救援，玄天宗赫然發現其中一名女弟子李英奇（張柏芝飾），樣子竟酷似師傅孤月大師。同時，峨嵋真人發覺中了血魔詭計，一場更爲兇險的正邪大戰即將展開……
