剧情：母親的意外去世，讓在出版社工作的亞紀子（小林聰美 飾）開始思考自己的人生。恰逢這時又遇上了公司莫名的人事調動，亞紀子於是辭掉了編輯工作，開始享受不同於以往的閒暇生活。母親留下了頗受讚譽的食堂、住宅周圍的商店街聚集着一羣友善的鄰居、亞紀子在路邊邂逅了一隻流浪貓……這些點滴的事情聚集在一起，讓亞紀子決定繼承母親留下的食堂。從自己擅長的事情做起，成了亞紀子當前的想法。 於是重新裝修的老店成了提供麪包和湯的食堂，亞紀子和新招的高大女店員（伽奈 飾）開始了新的旅程。而這段旅程有面包、湯、貓咪、商店街的好鄰居、各色顧客，還有暖洋洋的好天氣。
