男主人公特里普（帕特里克·德姆西 Patrick Dempsey飾）來到銀行換錢，剛跟女櫃員凱琳（艾什莉·賈德 Ashley Judd飾）搭上話，卻悲催的碰到銀行被打劫。銀行保安系統開啓，所有人都成了籠中之鳥。而更巧合的是居然有兩夥搶劫犯。由此一段陰差陽錯中展開的貓鼠大戰拉開序幕。無辜的人質跟笨拙的劫匪間處處周旋，波瀾中高潮不斷。
