剧情：陳浩南（鄭伊健 飾）、山雞（陳小春 飾）、巢皮等人從少年時代起就是好友。他們無心讀書，一心向往江湖生活。終於有江湖人士大佬B收納爲徒，開始闖蕩江湖。浩南在一次黑幫仇殺中大展拳腳，殺死了黑道大哥巴閉，因此與另一頭目靚坤( 吳鎮宇 飾)結下深仇。靚坤設法加害浩南，令浩南兄弟巢皮慘死，而浩南誤服藥物與山雞女友發生關係，兄弟間開始積怨。浩南心灰意冷，打算收手，怎料大佬B遭全家滅門，自己經營的店鋪被燒燬，靚坤的步步相逼令浩南忍無可忍。

Plot：Nam opens a bar in Wanchai and continues his rise in Hong Kong's Hung Hing gang. His best friend, Chicken, needs to lie low, so he's sent to Taiwan to work for Lui, leader of the San Luen gang; there, he falls for the aging Lui's mistress, Ting Yiu. When Chicken returns to Hong Kong, he finds Nam in a struggle with long time rival, Fai Fat. Then, Lui shows up, demanding that Hung Hing sell him a half interest in their new Macau casino. When Chiang, the Hung Hing boss, wants to think about it, Lui threatens war, Chicken must choose sides, and Ting Yui sets up a meeting.
