剧情：曹警司（曹達華 飾）爲了使過氣黑幫頭子戴哥大（盧海鵬 飾）做警方污點證人，指證黑幫頭子巫二器（王青 飾）的罪行，設計逼犀牛皮（馮淬帆 飾）、大生地（吳耀漢 飾）、花塔餅（苗喬偉飾）、羅漢果（曾志偉 飾）等四位有福星之稱的私家偵探做臥底，曹又派他的女兒高級幫辦Banan a（劉嘉玲 飾），應徵做女傭人暗中保護他們。 四福星入獄救出戴哥大，同往找他的女兒Mina，適值巫二器正欲迷姦她，他們把她救出，戴哥大感激四福星，答應做污點證人指證巫二器的罪惡，但給巫二器想盡一切辦法開脫了罪名。 曹警司又安排Banana詐被巫殺死，激發起四福星替她報仇的鬥志。片末，四福星和警方一起逮捕了巫二器，把他領導的匪幫全部消滅。

Plot：Hong Kong Police Supt. Walter Tso arrests Big Dai, the reformed leader of a criminal corporation. When Dai asked his brother Richard Mao to turn himself in to the police, he betrays him and decides to take over the corporation. Dai is imprisoned and an informant is murdered by one of Mao's men. With no evidence against Mao and the corporation, Tso coerced four of the Five Lucky Stars to go undercover in the prison, rescue Dai, and help nab Mao and bring down the corporation.
